Dear all,

I know we all have hard time to accept the truth that we lost Brian. You might think" You lie to me, you lie to me, right?" as Vivian's reaction when she heard it from us.
Many people ask us to take care, eat well, sleep well.
We are ok. Eat might not that well, but fall asleep is very often for the eyes are very tired after tears.
... ... Our English Pastor Dennis had been walking with Brian and us all the way since we were in Whittier emergency room on Dec. 18, 2010.
We thanks God for many of you pray for Brian and God granted these 2 and 1/2 years to fulfill his testimony.

I'd like to share Pastor Dennis's message last Sunday (4/14/2013).

Dear all,

Have you ever experienced the deep heart breaing pain?    In fact I had 2   over the past 2 and 1/2 years.
It took time for me to collect the broken pieces and to be healed gradually.  We are very thankful to God for preparing the loving family, the "Church" to help and support us whenever we need it.

Thanks to all of you who have been praying for us and Brian over the past 2 and 1/2 years.  Many of you may have already known that our beloved son, Brian went to be with the Lord on last Saturday morning 4/13/2013.   That pain from the loss couldn't be described with words.........

Another heart broken time was when Brian was diagnosed with this Acute leukemia in Dec. 2010.   I still remembered when doctor asked him," Which school your are attending?"  Brian said," I'm homeschooled."    "How's homeschool?", Dr. asked.   The only word he said was "Lonely.............."   At that very moment, watching my very very sick son, I felt  my heart was torn to pieces.   It hurt so much all the way through his ICU, coma, awakening, talking, opening eyes, sitting, standing, walking, running,  riding a bike.......       Seeing him getting better and back to always normal.   Sending him to school for the senior year should be a way to solve his loneliness.  But the relapse before the school started brought him to hospital again.  Until he went through  the bone marrow  transplantation in Dec. 2011.   Finally he could formally go to high school and enjoyed his 2 months of High School life with Prom and Graduation till June 2012................    Who knows there came the 2nd replapse and brought him to another isolated living style again.     It looks like his destiny was to live the life style without peer pressure.    "Father and Son" bounding life style let Mark and I have very solid relationship with him for years.   Actually, we were very grateful that we really own the full time with him for a total of 18 years and 8 months.     Through his sickness, we saw God granted him courage, enduarance, persistency, and most importantly --- the Spiriit of Joy from the Lord and never giving up till the very end.

As Christians, we have the assurance of hope that one  day we all will meet again in Heaven.

We know many of you love him so much and have the broken hearts as we do.   Let's keep strong and courageous as we always do.
Come to solute to each others.   We are all God's warriors.   Brian was the most pure one whom the Lord loves the most and sent him home first.

Mark and I would like to invite all of you, and Brian's dear friends to join us in the ceremonies and celebration.

Revelation 14:1-5 (NIV)  The lamb and the 144,000

14 Then I looked, and there before me was the Lamb, standing on Mount Zion, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father’s name written on their foreheads. And I heard a sound from heaven like the roar of rushing waters and like a loud peal of thunder. The sound I heard was like that of harpists playing their harps. And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders. No one could learn the song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth. These are those who did not defile themselves with women, for they remained virgins. They follow the Lamb wherever he goes. They were purchased from among mankind and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb. No lie was found in their mouths; they are blameless.

Dear prayer warriors,

It's like a roller coaster.
It seems like the disease is stable. But the leukemia show up again aggressively these 3 days. Since his platelet is too low, there is some bleeding in his urine and maybe eyes. He said his vision and hearing are getting worse. And also there's a fever from bacteria infection 2 days ago.   They are treating him with antibiotic.
Good thing is the platelet transfusion help him up to 24k.
Hope his platelet can fumction well on reception.
Thank you for coming to donate platelet and blood for Brian ( DOB 8/12/1994).
Please call 626-471-7171 (City of Hope blood donate center) to let them know you are coming. Appreciate!

The 2nd dose of Mylotarg will be infused this morning for 2 hours.
Pray and please read the bottom part of this email to find another fast and prayer list that Pastor Dennis calls.
Thank you very much.

Dr. Rosenthal came to see Brian 2 times a day this week. Whenever he asked Brian," What else I can do for you?" Brian always asked a hug. Mark said Brian told Dr. R "I believe you will do your best to cure me." Dr. R said," You are the most strongest fighter I ever seen in million of patients." He held Brian's hands very tight and said with tear in eyes," you are not alone. I fight with you."

Please Pray for Brian's body to retain better the platelets.
... God's protection from any internal bleeding or infections. No fever.
Pray for the Effectiveness of the second dose of Mylorarg to be administered today.
Continue strong faith in the Lord.

God bless us all,

Mark & Anita

These are Brian post on his facebook, pray for Brian.

(I wrote this last week, but was unsure about posting it. However, I've changed my mind; I've decided to post this.)

March 13, 2013
So, I'm back in the hospital, again, this time due to a fever. This was a very unusual fever. The temperature on the thermometer showed 38s and 39s,, but felt completely normal when touched. Eventually, the temperature matched what it felt like. Additionally, I couldn't even stand on my own; I needed help just to get to the living room. Now, all everyday tasks have become very difficult to do.
Last Friday, we met with Dr. Rosenthal about the results of the bone marrow aspirate. The results were not very favorable; most of the marrow has been taken over by leukemia. Not only that, Dr. Rosenthal says that statistically, I should not be feeling this well for so long with such a low immune system. It truly is by God's grace that I have not come up with a serious infection.
The situation looks really dire right now. There does not seem to be much hope for us right now, but we will continue to trust in God.
They have started me on a new medication called bran-toxima, which will target certain proteins in my body which contain the CD–30 protein, which is a cancer cell.
Today, I am dealing with severe constipation that goes all the way up to my chest, which is really uncomfortable. Apparently, the chest pains I've been having are caused by all the poop that have not yet left my body. This might sound disgusting first, but even more so when in reality.
But no matter, we will trust in the Lord always. He is sovereign; he is in control of all. No matter how dire the circumstances may be, I will put my faith in Him. I will declare the victory, because it has been promised to me in His Word.

March 19, 2013
Okay, so it's been about a week since all that happened. After several days of fighting fevers in the hospital, the doctors felt comfortable enough to let me come home. I'd like to just spend a moment to update everyone on how I'm doing right now.
The good news is, I no longer have constipation; well, it isn't as severe as it was then. My chest pains have also subsided; they were initially caused by too much fluid in my body that I needed to pee out. My legs are still swollen which makes it difficult for me to walk. However, my dad says that me legs seem to be getting stronger day by day.
It has also been difficult for me to go to sleep at night because my body feels sore and weak all over. I feel tired during the day no matter how much I've been sleeping. Moreover, my oxygen saturation has depleted over the past week so I've been needing an oxygen tank wherever I go.
Despite these circumstances, I still trust in God. Whenever I can't fall asleep at night, I pray for him to give me the ability to sleep. Soon after, I found myself aboard the Dreamland Express. I still wake up every so often. When that happens, I repeat the process of turning to God for help; I pray until I could fall asleep again.
On a positive note, I thank God for every waking day. I thank Him for every single blessing He has bestowed upon me. I am grateful for my family and friends who love and care for me. I'm also grateful for those who have been praying for me, especially those who I don't know personally. Without the prayer warriors, I don't think I could have it this far. Thank you all for your prayers and support to me and my family. God be with us all, Amen.

March 24, 2013
I feel like I haven't been updating this as much recently. Pretty much, my legs are still about the same, not enough strength to stand, but they seem to be improving, day by day.
I feel very hot at night, so it's very hard for me to sleep. My parents think it's very cold, but for some reason, I wake up in the middle the night several times, covered with sweat. Just this afternoon I found a way to sleep comfortably, so hopefully tonight I can get a better rest. I didn't wake up during the three hours that I was napping.
Tomorrow we will go back to the hospital to discuss the next step in my treatment. They will be trying a new drug to keep the leukemia cells down. If this is successful, and I am free from infection for three months, then I can go to transplant.
To be honest, I am very tired of fighting this battle. Sometimes, I just want to give up and let leukemia take over me so that I don't have to fight anymore. But this is not... the way of one of God's soldiers. I cannot give up. That is not an option. I have to fight this battle out to the very end.
The Lord is my shepherd. With him, I have nothing to fear, not leukemia, not even death. Even when I cannot feel his presence, he is omnipresent; he is always there. When I am scared, he is there to comfort me. The Lord will not forsake me, therefore I will not forsake him. I will continue to trust in Him, even in the toughest times.
I thank God for all the friends who love and care for me. You are the encouragement that keeps me going. thank you all for your prayers and support. I won't let you down. I will fight this battle to the very end, with the help and support of all of you, by God's grace.
Please continue to pray for the faith and strength of our family to fight this battle to the the very end.  We will come out of this victorious.
Hallelujah and Amen!

Subject: [VOH English Ministry] Brian's situation has worsened - sign-up for the fasting prayer chain

Dear All-

I had an opportunity to go to the hospital with Brian and his family yesterday to have a meeting with his doctor. Brian hasn't been doing well lately. His physical condition has continued to weaken.

The doctor was very clear and honest with us yesterday. He said that Brian's disease is in the advanced stages. He also told us that that MRI shows that the cancer has spread to his muscles, which is why Brian is having difficulty walking and standing. Brian has been experiencing all sorts of pain. He's having difficulty urinating and passing stool. Also, he's constantly hot. And he has a lot of trouble sleeping. These are just some of his difficulties. The doctor said that these are all caused by the leukemia.

Earlier today, the pastoral staff visited with Brian. Physically, he wasn't doing well. But Brian and his family continue to remain strong in their faith. It is amazing to watch them go through this ordeal with the faith that they maintain. At the same time, Brian is very honest about how frustrating and tiring it is to deal with the seemingly unending treatment and pain.

At this point, the medical staff has almost exhausted their possibilities. There is one more treatment that they might try starting this Wednesday. But we need to pray for a miracle for Brian and his family.

Pastor Kwan, the senior pastor of the church, has called for a one week fasting prayer chain for Brian starting tomorrow. If you are able to sign-up for one of the slots, please email me back so that we can sign you up. Also, Pastor Kwan has asked that we go to the church to pray in the prayer room during the time that we fast. Obviously, we understand that some of you might not be able to do that due to your schedule. But for those of you who can, please come to the church prayer room so that we can unify in prayer together as often as possible this week to pray for Brian.

So please email me back the date and the meals that you can fast on that day. For example, if you are fasting on Wed. March 27th for lunch and dinner then email me that information.

The dates and meals that we will be fasting:
  • Wed. March 27th Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Thurs. March 28th Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Fri. March 29th Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Sat. March 30th Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Sun. March 31st Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Mon. April 1st Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
  • Tues. April 2nd Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

The following are some prayer points that you can pray for:

  • pray for the leukemia to be 100% cured
  • pray for Brian to be able to urinate and pass stool
  • pray for Brain's legs to be strengthened
  • pray that Brian will be able to sleep comfortably
  • pray that God will give Brian and his family wisdom for the next steps of treatment
  • pray for wisdom for his doctor, Dr. Rosenthal
  • pray for unity in the Liu family (Mark, Anita, Brian & Vivian)
  • pray for continued faith and strength for the Liu family

In yesterday's Living Life Devotional passage, we were brought to Mark 11. I believe that God has a word for us regarding praying with faith for Brian's situation.

22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. 23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. 24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.

As we pray for Brian this week, let's pray with the faith that Jesus called us to!

Blessings,

Pastor Dennis

Dear prayer warriors,

We are in hospital now since Friday because Brian had continued fever while we were in COH outpatient Clinic transfused platelet that afternoon. They need to observe and wait till the temperature is stable.

His both legs are numb and painful and no strength to walk since last Friday.
I think it's the side effect of the oral chemo (he took for 20 days already), but Doctor said it's the leukemia interferes the nerve.   Please pray for this.
Ear pain still bother him, but it looks better today.

Remember he had a bone marrow biopsy and LP last Wednesday?   The result came out on Friday.   So we had a meeting with Dr. Rosenthal to discuss the next plan.  Brian, Mark, uncle Paul and I were in that meeting.
The result showed there are a lot of leukemia cells.
It means the recent chemo didn't work and needs to make the decision  for the next treatment.
Brian chose to get another treatment which will be given soon tonight (Monday).
I remember after the meeting, Dr. Rosenthal asked him " What else can I do for you?"  Brian said," Can I have a hug?"   They hug each other so tight and Dr. said to him," You are a fighter.   You are a winner already.   Let's fight together......." It's tough and it's touched too. We all had tears in our eyes.

"Be strong and courageous! "  This is the revelation that I got through the most critical time more than 2 years ago.     God is in control.    We all need to be strong in the Faith.
May God's mercy keep coming upon us. Pray for the Miracle, Miracle, Healing Miracle.
Let us fulfill his plan.

God bless us all,

Anita

Dear Prayer Warriors,

We are going to COH for platelet transfusion (at 9am) to get ready for the bone marrow aspirate and lumbar puncture (at 11am.) this morning.
As the time you read this email, we should be on the way to hospital or do those procedure.
Please keep praying for the smooth and successful procedure.
No complication.   Do the best and easy procedure from the favor of God.
Pray for Dr. Rosenthal, Anaesthesia doctor, nurses and all the medical team to have the power, wisdom and favor from Almighty God.
Pray for the favorate result to help us move toward next step that God has planned.
Pray for Brian's ear.   Dr. Maghami Said, "Brian does not have an infection in his ear.  It will take a while for the blood in his ear canal to resolve and go away."    But his right ear and right part of head is still painful and need to take pain medicine to relief the pain.
Pray for these symptom will be gone soon.
Pray for Brian's eye.    So many chemo and some other reason, his good right eye has been getting worse in vision.   Pray for the mercy of God to keep his good eye can see better.
Pray for the effective treatment.   Bless Dr. Rosenthal's team to receive the abundant favor from supernatural God.
Pray and praise in all situation.
Keep strong and courageous as we do.    We all need it.

God bless us all,

Mark & Anita

Dear prayer warriors,

Brian has gotten a round of chemo in COH 3 weeks ago (1/25/13) and will do the 2nd round  chemo today.

Few days ago (Wednesday 2/13/13), we came to clinic to get transfusion platelet.   But he felt his ear pain and swore ( he had a little bit sore throat too 2 days before that day).   He spike a temperature to 38.6c after transfusion and his right ear drain with a little bit blood.
So they admitted him right away.  On 2/14/13 the culture showed the "fungitell(1,3) Beta D is >500.   Although he has no fever for 3 days already, they still want to give him CT scan today to see more detail.

Please pray for the CT scan with clear result.  No infection.
Pray for the 2nd round of chemo with new add on med.   Pray for the effective treatment.
Pray for Brian's ears with no pain and no bothering sound.
Pray for his numbing, tinkling feet can back to normal soon.
Pray for Brian to  keep being strong and courageous.

God bless us all,

Mark & Anita

Dear prayer warriors,

It was a busy day.   The original plan today was NPO (fasting, no food and drink) till 1pm to get anesthesia for lumbar puncture and then do chemo.
Since the anesthesia doctor was delayed by her scheduled cases, Brian's LP procedure was done till 4:30pm.  That means he didn't eat anything until 5pm since last night.    Good thing the food in City Of Hope is good and has a variety of choices.   My homemade chicken soup made him warm too.    The tummy is satisfied by the gourmet dinner.

Dr. Rosenthal came again to see us around 5:30pm to explain more details of the treatment again (he came this morning but I was not here yet). They found one of his picc lines had an infection from the culture we drew yesterday.   These antibiotics are good to defeat the bugs.
He wants the chemo to be started soon.   So, the nurse is giving him the chemo now. ( Oops! the chemo was done while I was writing).  Dr. Rosenthal said they had some successful results in some patients.

Let's pray for this chemo to effectively destroy the leukemia.
Pray for Brian to have good tolerate and protection to achieve the goal.
Keep praying for Dr. Rosenthal's team.   These attending doctors here are all really nice.
Pray for we all stay healthy and keep the Faith in The Lord to do His creative miracle in Brian's body.

God bless us all,

Anita

 Dear prayer warriors,

We are in COH since last night due
to Brian had fever at 11:30pm.    We came in to COH ETC, they gave him antibiotic and transfusion blood.    Now, we are just being admitted to be inpatient.   The admitting is planned few days ago, but not in this kind of check in though.
Anyway, Brian's primary Dr. Rosenthal is on service in inpatient dept. for this week ( every attending doctor get to take turn on service for a week to take care inpatient.)   He will come to the rounding and see Brian later.

Brian is doing OK.   The fever is gonel  For his immune system is 0 today, they need to treat him with antibiotics and admit him.

Please keep praying for Brian.  Pray for his strength and keep the good shape to tolerate any treatment and the leukemia can be totally destroyed.  A fully recovery.
Pray for the medical team here in City of Hope(COH).
Pray for our discussion later with Dr. Rosenthal.
May God give him the best wisdom to treat Brian and cure the disease.
In Jesus' name, Amen!

God bless us all,

Mark & Anita

Dear Prayer Warriors,

Thanks for all your prayers.   Brian is doing well at home since Dec. 6 last year.
The Bone marrow aspirate and biopsy was done 2 days ago (Monday), and the result will come out in 2 days.
Dr. Rosenthal will discuss it with us tomorrow and also Brian will need to be admitted to City of Hope to start the treatment right after the clinic meeting.
That means the comfy home setting will be paused for a while.
That's the rough plan now.    I'll let you know more details once I get further info.

Please keep praying for Brian.
1. Pray for the Bone marrow result will be in favor of God and let Dr. Rosenthal know how to acurately do the treatment.
2. Pray for Dr. Rosenthal and his team (and all the medical team and staff we will reach) have the best wisdom from God.
3. Pray for the transition will be smooth for it will be a whole new hospitalized experience in City of Hope.
Brian like this place because you will see " Hope and Hope", in City Of Hope.
4. Pray for all of us to get ready for the new start.   And knowing God's promised land is ahead.

God bless us all,
Mark & Anita

Dear Prayer Warriors,

After a long wait that Dr. Gaynon approved and Brian's condition allowed, 2 doctors finally get a compromised treatment plan after we met Dr. Rosenthal (City Of Hope) few days ago. Also, we had decided to transfer our treatment at COH. They will check Brian's bone marrow tomorrow (Monday) morning.

The day our meeting with Dr. Rosenthal and his team is on Wednesday, Jan. 16,2013.
It's the day our daily devotion (Living Life) talking about Noah and the Ark (Genesis 8:13-22).
The title is " The God of Life". Noah opened the ark and sees that the land is dry. God commands everyone to come out, and they come out from the ark. Noah presents an offfering to the Lord. The Lord receives the offering and promises Noah that He will never again destroy all living creatures due to the wickedness of man.
In Chinese version of Living Life, it says " Those people who are waiting get the convenant of blessing."

Transission is hard for people who need to move forward. We've been worked with CHLA these 2 years. We really appreciate Dr. Gaynon's loving care for Brian all the way in these 2 years. All of the staffs in CHLA performed very important parts in our life too. We really appreciate and cherish it.
But now, it's God's timing for us to come out and transfer to COH. The staff there are as nice as CHLA.
Dr. Rosenthal is a pediatric chair and director in COH Hematology/oncology. He will be Brian's primary doctor to oversee his treatment (including transplant).

The plan now is:
Tomorrow, Monday morning, Dr. Pawlowska will do bone marrow aspirate and LP for Brian to see the baseline of his bone marrow to fairly decide the next step. If the bone marrow has less and less blast leukemia cell, he might qualify to directly have a transplant. So, it's very important for us to pray for the bone marrow result to come out in good level.
We all believe in Miracle. The rainbow is God's promise to us. Let's keep believing and praying the best abiding God's plan.

Let's pray........
Havenly Father, Thank you for keeping Brian in good health condition. Thank you for directing us to City of Hope in your timing. We know everything is under your control and protection. We obey and follow your direction.

Dear Prayer Warriors,

We know you might have waited for the update for a long time. Actually, we do too.

Thanks God! We not only have Merry Christmas and also Happy new year at home. Many healthy friends came over for dinner and celebrated with us. Thanks for your love and accompany.

The plan now is going to CHLA day hospital tomorrow for platelet transfusion and wait for Dr. Gaynon's instruction for next treatment plan.

Please keep praying for Brian to have good health condition to wait for a best treatment plan that doctors are doing now.
It's God's grace to let us have family time at home during holiday. And now most of people are back to work and kids will back to school. We are still waiting for Dr. Gaynon( CHLA) and Dr. Rosenthal( COH) to find a solution to offer a best plan for Brian. Thanks God! Brian is doing good. The only weakness is his walking. He can't walk balancedly like he did before last advanced chemo. His immune counts still very low. It looks hard to go up by itself after last advanced chemo. That's why the next treatment plan is very important. Dr. Gaynon needs more time to consider the best for Brian.
There are many new decisions to make later.

Please pray for us to patiently wait for God's timing and enjoy our time at home.
Pray for Brian to keep the good health condition and being stronger to wait for the best timing for next treatment.
And also pray for Dr. Gaynon and Dr. Rosenthal have the best wisdom from our Almighty God and abide God's plan.

God bless us all,

Mark & Anita

December 24, 2012
For those who came to yesterday's celebration, thank you for coming.
You truly made it a most special Christmas party.
For those who couldn't make it, whether it was due to distance, health, or other plans, thank you for your support and prayers.

I especially want to thank my friend Arthur, who started a prayer/fasting movement within the church for me in my direst moments. Without him, I doubt that word would have gotten out about my situation. So thank you, Arthur. You've been an inspiration to all of us.

To be honest, I often forget the condition of my health. I don't really feel lik
e someone with cancer; I'm often told that I don't even look like a hospital patient, much less one who has received at least a hundred doses of heavy chemotherapy. I truly believe it is by God's grace that I am still alive. Usually you would only hear those words from people who've done reckless things (cough EpicMealTime cough), but I really believe that somehow, God will turn my unfortunate condition into something beautiful. Eventually, all of this will be used for God's glory; we just don't know how or when. Until then, we just have to wait in faith.

Dear prayer warriors,

I've been thinking to write the update to let you know the result of Wednesday bone marrow biopsy.
Since the report was not good, it made me hard to write something to tell you guys about it.
Some of might have read that Brian post on his Facebook "Pray for Brian"As below..........................

Brian Liu                                                          5:43pm Dec 6
December 6, 2012 [Day +59 post-chemo]

The bone marrow aspirate and biopsy yesterday showed that leukemia cells are still present in my body. However, today, after two months of being in the hospital, I can finally go home. The doctors feel like I've been here for far too long (two months, since October), so they want me to go home and relax for a while. At the present moment, the plan (that I've heard so far) is to come back on Monday to see the doctor, and that's all I know for now. When I found out that there were still cancer cells in my body, I reacted much differently than I thought I would. That is to say, I didn't really react. The emotions one would expect me to feel, I didn't. I really, really don't want to care about all this anymore. It's too stressful to have to deal with all this; it can't be healthy. These past few days my devotionals are all saying that God is sovereign, and to "cast our worries upon Him". Whether coincidence or not, that is actually good advice during times like this, that when everything is beyond our control, ought not waste our time worrying, but instead hand it all over to Him who can actually do something about your worries. We may not always know WHY something happens, but the sovereign Lord knows what he's doing. He won't give up on you, and neither should you give up on Him. Stay in faith, and your reward will come eventually.

With your continuing prayer, Brian is strong and uptimistic in spirit and "faith".
His response to the result supports all of us.
We thanks God to grand him this strong faith to encourage us.

We are home now. Brian is doing good, joyful as always and has good appetite.
He made a handmade pizza with daddy for dinner tonight.
Family movie night--"Brave!!".

On Monday, we will discuss with Dr. Gaynon what to do next.
Please keep praying for us.
As always, we believe " God's thought is higher than ours."
May God grand us the wisdom to make the best decision.
We keep believing and trust His best plan for Brian.

Here is a message from Joel Osteen that I got few days ago. Share with you.

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE

“A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.”
(Proverbs 16:9, NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD from Joel and Victoria

Oftentimes, God will use our experiences in life as stepping stones to prepare us for what He has in store next. Scripture tells us that He’ll even take the things the enemy tries to bring against us and turn them around and use them for our good. He is always leading us on a journey of preparation.
That’s why it’s so important to keep our eyes focused on Him. We have to trust that when we are submitted to Him — even if we don’t understand — He is ordering our steps. If something is not happening on your timetable, remind yourself, “God knows what He is doing. He has my best interest at heart. God is preparing me.” While you’re waiting, don’t make the mistake of trying to figure everything out. If you’re constantly trying to figure things out, that will only frustrate you. Turn it over to God. Declare, “God, my times are in Your hands. I’m not going to worry because I trust that You are leading me on a journey of preparation for all the wonderful blessings You have in store for me.”

A PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in Brian's life. I trust that You are leading and guiding Brian. I trust that You are preparing Brian for all the wonderful blessings You have in store for Brian in Jesus’ name. Amen.

請継續用您的禱告扶持我們。
也請繼續為我們的主治醫師 Dr. Gaynon. 下週一我們將和他開會.
求 主應許他用最智慧,最隹良方來醫治Brian.
更求 主給我們啟示做最明智的抉擇. 繼續相信並等候 祂醫治的時間表.

God bless us all,

Mark & Anita

As I mentioned few days ago, today will be the day for another bone marrow biopsy for Brian again.
It will be a very criticle report for BMT doctors to make good decision and plan for Brian.

Please keep praying for the good BM result, no leukemia cell.
Pray for BMT team ( Dr. Shah, Dr. Kapoor, Dr. Chris, Dr. Hisham) to work on the transplant with the
wisdom from God.

Thank you.

Dear prayer warriors,

Thanks for your prayers and praising the Lord!

The bone marrow biopsy report shows no leukemia cell.

Here is the plan now........

It's a criticle moment for doctors to make a decision for a successful transplant.

For Brian's bone marrow just recover and started to produce cells. The sample they got this Wednesday is few ( even though they are more than last 2 weeks). They decided to stop 2 days GCSF( a shot to boost cell production) and have another biopsy next Wednesday to get a more acurate result.

I still remembered yesterday around 3pm. Dr. Gaynon came to the room and told us that the fish report show 85% Vivian's cell and 15% Brian's cell. There are some immature cells on the sample. But they couldn't define they are good or bad. He said ( not happily), " Let's see Monday. It will have more detail report."

But you know what? Dr. Gaynon came again (with his suitcase, coat, and umbrella) to the room before he went home to tell us this good news. He said, " I just got the MRD report, it a very reliable report, it shows no leukemia cell at all." Halelujah! Thank you Dr. Gaynon to bring us a good weekend.

Brian still got transfused a bag of platelet today for the platelet fuction needs more time to grow stronger.

We still need more platelet donor more than blood. Any blood type is OK. But please drink more water the day before you come to donate it. It needs good circulation to process it. Thanks.

Please keep praying for

1. The good report too for the next Wednesday Bone marrow biopsy.

2. The best plan for a successful transplant.

3. Pray for Brian and Vivian stay healthy without any infection.

4. Pray for Mark and Anita to be strong and healthy to take care the kids.

5. Pray for all of you to stay the strong faith as usual to fight the good fight with us.

God bless us all,

Mark & Anita

Thank you.

God bless us all,

Mark & Anita
