A raining day.
It's been2 weeks already since the first symptom (sore throat with fever ) happened. Our family doctor Dr. David Lee had treated Brian with oral antibiotic (Azithromycin 250mg) for 5 days. The symptom still exited. Then he gave him 2 shots ( Ceftriaxone 500mg & Dexamethasone ). He said " go home have a good rest and you will be fine tomorrow. It didn't help to reduce the symptom but even getting worse.
The 4th clinic visit. Fever still. There are bruises on his toung and neck. He said," It's allergic to pennicilline." Then he gave Brian another shot (Epinephrine 1:1000). It's ok, go home take some benezyle and rest. 5th visit- the vision blurry, the bruises all over his neck, he couldn't breath during the night, fever and sweat a lot. Finally he said " go to emergency room". "which one?" " Any one? Just go......, hurry!"
Not knowing how serious it was. 1:25pm. Called our church sister Dr. Helen. She helped to arrange and talk to the doctors in Whittier hospital.
CT scan, blood drawing, IV fluid,.......... A long long wait, don't know how lolng the time passed. Only one parent allowed inside the room with patient. From 2 o'oclock to sunset. Mark felt uneasy and texted to all the name list on his phone. " Pray for Brian...."
