Day +67
Happy New Year! (both American and Chinese)
Sorry that I haven't been updating since, well, last year. I guess it's partly that I didn't want to bore you guys with my everyday life, which is pretty much a constant deja vu: nothing new, just the same old same old over and over, every day. It's also partly because I was lazy to do so, but let's just ignore that part..

So, I've been home for a month now. Last time I went back to clinic, the doctor saw my weight and asked, "How in the world did you gain 5 pounds in a week and what on earth is your mother feeding you?!" (I think the word 'exclaimed' would probably work better there..) She told me that I could eat anything, but in small quantities. In other words, don't binge. It seems that while other patients stop eating after the ⋯⋯
final chemo in BMT, I never stopped. Hehe, 'guess that's just how I roll.

In my devotions today, I read Romans 8:31 - If God be for us, who dare be against us?
This is probably one of the most famous verses in the Bible, most likely because it brings hope to those who read it. It reassures us that no troubles can possibly overwhelm us, because of God's infinite power.

Recently I read the labels on my meds, and it had these warnings on them: may cause drowsiness, may cause blurred vision, may cause dizziness, avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, etc., and my "favorite" warning label, which reads WARNING: HAZARDOUS DRUG
It even had the biohazard symbol on it! So I suppose these "helpful" drugs may have some seriously harmful side effects. :/

On Wednesday I will be going back to the hospital to get IVIG, which is like a boost in my immune system (don't quote me on that, I'm not 100% sure) and will be be getting it in the day hospital (which is the place where the very temporary patients stay) over a period of maybe 2-3 hours. I will be getting it through an IV, so that means I'll be stuck with a thing sticking out of my hand, again. Blegh.

Please pray that all the medications I'm taking at home will be reduced significantly soon so that the side effects won't linger very long, and that the IVIG infusion on Wednesday be successful in doing its job.
