Therefore we pray in order to get close to our Abba Father, to have Him drown out us so that our hearts have nothing to say.
Our Heavenly Father’s love is not a solution for suffering—rather, it is our hope in times of trouble.
Therefore, we pray. We loudly proclaim:
Ephesians 6:10-20 (New International Version, ©2010)
The Armor of God
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.
Oh, Lord, we praise you, for you have already parted the Red Seas for Brian. You have personally guided him between the twin walls of leukemia, the twin walls of water who constantly circle him, but must submit under your almighty orders. Thank you, Lord, for escorting him across all the world proclaims “Impossible!”
Lord, we again entrust you with the Brian who has woken up. Oh, Lord, we proclaim that his every cell, every nerve, every bodily function will be classified as yours.
We pray that he will forever remember the great work you have done in his life today. Bestow upon him complete trust and let his life be filled with the Holy Spirit’s power.
Lord, as Brian is recovering, we pray that you will build within him a firm, unyielding army.
Lord, you have already given him a spiritual uniform to set him apart from the world. Give him a glorious rank that no longer adheres to the value system of this world.
Oh, Lord, we praise you. The enemy’s tricks have already crumbled away. Brian’s bodily weakness cannot hold onto him. In this time of tribulation, you have already guided Brian and his family to the armory and dressed them in beautiful weaponry.
You gave Brian the power to overcome death’s threat, and you didn’t let Uncle Mark and Auntie Anita collapse from worry and pain.
You command your intercessors not to be discouraged, not to be idle; you remind us and call us to stand firm and watch your marvelous deeds.
Lord, we thank you. Today, we pray that you will continue to lead Brian so that, by leaning on you, he can stand steadily.
Please give Brian an ear full of desire to listen to your truth so that he can buckle the belt of truth around his waist.
Give him an alert spirit so that he can withstand the many wrong messages broadcasted by this world.
Give Brian righteous, upright conduct so that his heart is uncovered before your light and the enemy is unable to make any accusations against him.
Lord, we also proclaim that Brian will very soon get up and walk. From this day on, every step that he takes will leave the imprint of the gospel. Those footprints will attract people to follow the way you walked.
Oh, Lord, please continue to solidify his confidence. Starting from today, no matter what problems he meets, let him remember and trust in the God who took him from death’s door. The calls of slanderers will not be able to get near Brian’s heart.
Thank you for protecting Brian’s head. We praise you, because where there was once a wound, there is now the imprint of the helmet of your salvation that will continue to protect him.
Lord, we once again pray that you will open Brian’s understanding towards the truth so that he will not merely have access to comprehension but will be able to live out your Word.
Dear Holy Spirit, thank you for nurturing Brian throughout this journey. Continue to open up Brian, attract him, and train him to become a powerful warrior of prayer.
Give him the passion to pray for others so that he can frequently stand in your presence, grasping the messages of your heart.
Lord, throughout these days, Brian has intimately experienced you. We pray that you will anoint his mouth and gift him with both clear articulation and the ability to express himself beautifully.
Give him also courage straight from the heavens, so that he can become your portal—so that he can help rescue the fallen and dying in spirit and introduce them to the hope of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Thank you, Lord. Protect Brian, whom you have chosen, until the very end.
We praise you. May your Words be adored by those you love you and proclaimed day and night. May they rekindle the flames of the altar of our prayers.
Again, in the name of Jesus Christ, we thank you as your Words manifest powerfully before our very eyes.
Amen.
